David Maxim

American, b. 1945
Born in Los Angeles in 1945, David Maxim received a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles and taught art history at California State University, Los Angeles, UC Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara City College before moving to San Francisco in 1976. His dynamic artworks often straddle the line between paintings and sculpture, and celebrate the power and magnetism of nature.
