Edward Timothy Hurley

Edward Timothy Hurley is known for townscape and landscape painting, etching, and pottery decoration. A Cincinnati painter whose landscapes and etchings reflected the area where he lived, he was also a decorator for Rookwood Pottery from 1896 to 1948. Many of his paintings were with pastel, and some were on ceramic. A frequent subject was Mount Adams including its landmark, the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
