Charles Orson Horton

Charles Horton was born in Hayward, CA on Dec. 8, 1896. After settling in Oakland as a child, Horton lived there for the rest of his life. For many years he was on the faculty at University of California, Berkeley and taught there until his death on Dec. 5, 1945. The subjects of his etchings, watercolors, and drawings include nudes, still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and urban scenes.
