Yuko Abe

Yuko Abe (b. 1924) was born in Ehime, Japan. He graduated from the Nihon University College of Art and studied under Hamada Shoji. He later trained in Saijo, Tobe, and Bizen, and established a kiln in Kawachi-gama in Kitakyushu in 1969 and in Yawata in 1966. He was a leading figure in folk pottery and a member of the National Painting Society.
