Phillip Conrad Hefferton

Phillip Conrad Hefferton was born in Detroit, Michigan and studied in his home town at the Society of Arts and Crafts under Sarkis Sarkisian. In 1960 he moved to San Francisco and the next year settled in Los Angeles. He is known for his pop-funk imagery, and in 1962 his work was included in the first museum survey of pop art in America at the Pasadena Museum.
