Koheiji Miura

Miura Koheiji was the eldest son of Miura Koheiji, head of a family working with Mumyoi-ware in Sado, Niigata prefecture. He graduated from the sculpture department of Tokyo University of the Arts in 1955, where he studied under Kato Hajime. He also worked as a lecturer at the same university before retiring in 1971 and devoting himself full-time to ceramics. He primarily focused on celadon, blue dyeing, and color painting.
