Materials: 2-3 different kinds of plant material, something for the coils forming the structure and another couple for the weft coiled around those rods. Unsure what plants specifically.
Technique: Coiled basket, not twined.
Structure: Very strong and well woven. It’s probably a bowl/storage of some kind because it’s so smooth on the interior, but it doesn’t seem as watertight for a bowl.
Cultural affiliation notes: I don’t think this is Hupa, Yurok, or Karuk, and maybe not even Northern CA? The weave and materials aren’t really right for the coastal areas.
