This certainly fits most classic conventions of a Hupa, Yurok, and/or Karuk basket, so Yurok seems like a reasonable attribution. The lid is very interesting, shows an immense amount of talent in the weaver for this sizeable basket, and has a notable hole in the top. The design is in woodwardia fern dyed with alder bark and is a "friendship" design.
