It is hard to say whether it is definiteively Karuk, Yurok or Hupa - but it is definitely from the Klamath River tribes. Based on the dimensions, the materials used, the shape and the structure - as well as the single band of plain bear grass overlay design this makes me think this is a basket used in acorn soup/food preparation, but it doesn't have some of the other more distinctive markers.
