Adele Barnes Stackpole

Adele Stackpole was a Bay Area artist known for printmaking, sculpture, painting, and design. She was a member of the first graduating class at the California College of Arts and Crafts where she studied under Xavier Martinez and then studied architecture at University of California. She designed houses in Oakland as well as rugs, screens, lamps, and bookplates. She was married to artist Ralph Stackpole.
