Mary Jeanette Edwards

American, (1906–1974)
Mary Jeanette Edwards was the daughter of photographer John Paul Edwards. Together with Willard Van Dyke, she established a gallery at 683 Brockhurst in Oakland, CA as a center and forum for West Coast photographers, in an attempt to bring national and East Coast attention to their work. The gallery supported photographers associated with Group f.64, including Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, and Edward Weston.
