Giacomo Porzano

Italian, (1925–2006)
Giacomo Porzano was a landscape and portrait painter. He studied in Genoa, where he lived for twenty years. He attended the Academy of Carrara first and then the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. Since 1959 he lived and worked mainly in Rome. He died in Pescosolido on May 19, 2006. Among his favorite themes, in addition to the Ligurian landscapes, are portraits of friends, scenes of everyday life, and ordinary characters.
