Elizabeth Gray Potter

American, (1874–1959)
Elizabeth Gray Potter was a Bay Area historian and author. In 1896, she earned her Bachelor of Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley. Starting in the 1900s, Potter began to publish her writing. In 1904, she also wrote and illustrated stories for Overland Monthly based in San Francisco. Her fiction focused on Alaska and the Yukon. Around 1923, she began her tenure at the Mills College Library. In 1926, she started writing for Mills College's KKG newsletter The Convention Hoot.
