Duane Matterson

American, (1919–2016)
Duane Jardine Matterson was a Northern California ceramicist. He studied ceramic art at California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland and later attended Alfred University in New York where he earned a master’s degree in ceramic arts. He founded the Huckleberry Hill Pottery, later renamed the Matterson Family Pottery, in Monterey, California.
