Gertrude Boyle Kanno

Born in San Francisco, Gertrude Farquharson Boyle Kanno was an American sculptor noted for her portrait busts. Boyle created portrait busts and medallions in plaster and bronze of many famous persons including: Isadora Duncan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John Muir, Joaquin Miller, and Susan Mills. She was art editor of the Birth Control Review for about three years and taught at Mills College in 1912.
