Traci Bartlow is an American dancer, choreographer, performance artist, and photographer working in Oakland, California. Heavily involved in the local community, Bartlow mentors and teaches after-school programs for children in the Bay Area. She is a member of the BRS—or the Boogaloo, Robot, Strutting organization—which strives to preserve and document Bay Area Hip-Hop dance. Bartlow is described as a Hip-Hop photographer, having documented the Bay Area Hip-Hop industry from 1993-2000. She has since contributed her photographs to local and national music magazines and record labels. Bartlow exhibited many of her 90’s Hip-Hop photos in her 2018 show at the Oakland Museum entitled RESPECT: Hip Hop Style & Wisdom.
